Representative Feedback About "DEAR DIARY"...

Here are some of the many representative comments that we have received from worldwide subscribers to "DEAR DIARY":

"I LOVED this idea! I cannot afford to go, so this gave me a lighthearted 'peek' from the inside. MORE!"

"I'd like to thank you for taking the time to share each day of Blackpool with all of us who couldn't be there! It was wonderful to hear the results, but even more heart warming were the little tidbits of information you shared about some of the dancers. It was touching to hear about Andrew Sinkinson's retirement. It made me sad in a way, but I was so glad to have been able to somehow share in his announcement! He is an incredible dancer and coach and I'm sure he'll continue to give so much to the dance world! I hope you will do this again!"

"How can we ever thank you for all the wonderful information you have imparted these past two weeks - the time and effort you have put into this is deeply appreciated. Having danced at Blackpool for many years myself - I know the electrifying excitement that is there and the Northern people as well as others are never afraid to release their feelings which is exciting also. Have a safe trip home and try to get some rest!!!!!!"

"I enjoyed all of the "Dear Diary" reports from Blackpool and looked forward to each update, the quality of journalism was absolutely first-class, not only were they informative but they were also very entertaining and certainly made me laugh a lot. You certainly captured the atmosphere and for those of us who where unable to attend the festival it was the next best thing. Well done to you all and keep up the great work. By the way who wrote the reports? They really must be congratulated for their excellent work."

"Thank you for all the wonderful infomation. I really enjoyed reading the stories and hearing about those talented dancers!!"

"Thanks so much for this wonderful information every day. I really enjoyed being right on top of thing. You made my day every day. Thanks again and happy dancing."

"Fantastic! We feel we were there with you guys! Great job!"

"I so enjoyed your daily news coverage of the Blackpool. Although I am an advanced beginner and will probably not make it there due to my golden years approaching, I can say that reading about the competition made me feel like I was there. You did a great job with detailing so many of the 'little things' that make the whole picture... Until next year, keep writing."

''Excellent job of reporting. Keep up the good work''

"The dear diary daily news items were great!! Thanks for the time and effort you put into it. Keep up the good work!"

"I love this Dear Diary thing you're doing. Even though I don't have a great deal of knowledge about the dance competitions I've been reading all of your Dear Diary updates..."

"Thank you for the Blackpool News! Very informative."

"Thanks for the updates."

"Thanks so much for the refreshing qwip about Jean Marc and France/ I really enjoyed this. We are all very human aren't we? Even Champion Dancers ... I have taken numerous coaching from them with my teacher and they are just great wonderful human beings, believe me. Again thanks."

"I would like to add my thanks for doing a superb job with the Dear Diary from Blackpool."

"Thank you very much for this interesting up to date information. It is great of you."

"Thanks so much for all the "Dear Diary" updates. I was told to make sure I go to Blackpool at least once during my studies in England, but unfortunately, as far as I can tell, my exam dates will always clash with the tournament dates, and I was pretty disappointed. However, your entries more than made up for my not being there! They were very well written and extremely descriptive - perfect for a lower-than-amateur dancer like me! Once again, thanks! Keep up the good work!"

"Thank you very much for the updates -- I really appreciate receiving them daily so we in the USA can know what's happening right away."

"Thank you for keeping me informed of the happenings at Blackpool. I am so happy for Andrew Phillips for placing 5th at the Rising Star International Latin Competition. He used to be my dance instructor. He's excellent as a dancer and a teacher.Congratulations, Andrew !!!!!

"Thank you Dancescape! We miss Blackpool this year because of health problems and your 'Dear Diary' means a lot to us! Great job! Tremendous effort!"

"As a new list member of 'Dear Diary', I wish to thank you for entertaining and informative updates re: Blackpool, including your pleasurable encounters with some most admirable and gifted dancers along the way. It gives those of us who cannot attend a chance to 'experience' the event. I only hope now that it surfaces on the tv. Terrific news about Alain and Anik! Thanks again and have a great day."

"Thank you for your very good information."

"'Dear Diary' was a fantastic idea and it felt like we were there, in Blackpool ourselves. [We] were going to attend this year but his cousin was getting married and [he] was best man. But next year we will go. Thank you for your hard work!"

"Thank-you for the up dates. I thought it was wonderful to get results as they were unfolding. It was greatly appreciated."

"I have enjoyed getting these emails. I am new to this arena and this has helped me to get a feel and understanding of, as well as a familiarity with names of, the sport. Please keep doing this with many other aspects of the ballroom dancing events and culture. It would also be really nice if photos were included with the emails."

"Hello to the dancescape's people! I take 2 minutes to congratulate you to forward us the latest news from Blackpool everyday. The guy writing these articles is so good. It's like being there! I couldn't make it to Blackpool this year and appreciate so much to get your news every day. Thanks again and keep up the good work."

"Hi all at Dancescape, thank you for the up date ... have our Palm Pilot with us to check for results. This year you [were] our eyes for Blackpool."

"I second the comments made by others - really enjoyed the e-mails, including the descriptions of the ambiance, etc. FYI ... Again, thanks for a wonderful idea and a wonderful job. I forwarded the first installment to six or seven friends, and they have become Dancescape aficionados now, too."
